Problem:
When Accounting Period on Claim Booking is set from the As Of Date then the To Date is set to be before the From date when the As Of Date (month/day) is after the Insured Period end (month/day)
Solution:
When setting the Accounting Period on Claim Booking from As Of Date, there should NOT be a restriction on the Accounting-Period-To as introduced in SICSR-14149. The Accounting-Period-To should always follow the actual Accounting Year and period selected, and can be later than the Insured period to date.
Example: Insured Period: 14.01.2018 - 13.12.2018 without accounts defined:
If As of Date is 18th Jan 2018; the Account Period is 1st of 12, and the Accounting period from - to should be: 14th Jan - 31st Jan 2018.
If As of Date is 5th Dec 2018; the Account Period is 12th of 12, and the Accounting period from - to should be: 1st Dec - 31st Dec 2018.
If the Accounts schedule is set to be quarterly; the following dates should be set:
If As of Date is 18th Jan 2018; the Account Period is 1st of 4, and the Accounting period from - to should be: 14th Jan - 31st March 2018.
If As of Date is 5th Dec 2018; the Account Period is 4th of 4, and the Accounting period from - to should be: 1st Oct - 31st Dec 2018.
Example: Insured Period: 18.06.2011 - 30.06.2019 without accounts defined:
If As of Date is 21st June 2011; the Account Period is 6th of 12, and the Accounting period from - to should be: 18th June - 30th June 2011.
If the Account Period is manually changed to be 1st of 2, the Accounting Period from - to should still be: 18th June - 30th June 2011
If As of Date is 21st Aug 2019; the Account Period is 8th of 12, and the Accounting period from - to should be: 1st Aug - 31st Aug 2019.
If the Account Period is manually changed to be 3rd of 4, the Accounting Period from - to should be: 1st July - 30th Sept 2019
Workaround:
Manually set the Accounting Period dates.
Root Cause:
SICS 4.9.2 by SICSR-14149 - Acct period entry from Claim booking.
Extent of Impact:
System parameter Claim Accounting - 'Accounting Information based on As of Date' is selected.
Claim Booking with no Accounts in Admin Condition with As Of Date (MM/DD) after Insured Period End (MM/DD)
