SE-4084 - Complete Segregation per Base Company - Remaining - Aon
Aim of function
Often organizations have several (re)insurance companies sharing the same SICS installation. These are legal entities and might not wish to have knowledge of each other, neither each other’s existence, nor each other’s business administration. To support this, SICS offers an extensive base company segregation facility, which has a high number of features throughout SICS. This makes it possible to, for example, let the user see only business (claims, accounting, etc.) of his/her assigned Current Base Company.
In addition to the currently existing functions within base company segregation, some more features have been added. For example, it now offers a better support of Viewing Recents (e.g. see Businesses worked on over the last 7 days), assigning protected business, creating new business, assigning business partners and task management.

SE-3235 - When searching by business partner, find objects also by other partners in merger group - China Re
Aim of function
Corporate restructuring occurs often by two company merging, creating a new merger parent, or by one company acquiring another. As in these arrangements, one of the companies might take over the portfolio of the other, searching for information with this company might need to search also by the parent merger company. In some cases, one of the merged companies might even be inactive, in which case it is even more important to find its active merger parent.
The system now offers search functionality to support this. For finding business, accounting and claim related scenarios, if business partner in the search criteria belongs to a merger group, all other members of this business partner’s merger group will be automatically added to search criteria. Including or not including merger group in searches is customized by a system parameter.

SE-1833 - Log Change of Reporting Unit on Business - Milli Re
Aim of function
Reinsurance companies may reflect how they divide their business internally by use of the SICS reporting units. These allows registering a contract with one or more reporting units per category, e.g. profit centres or segments. As it is important to most organizations to know the activities done by users within their applications, and reporting unit assignments or removal of them are significant changes, knowing who did this and when is important.
The SICS log facility, now logs also the adding of Reporting Units to a contract, as well as the removal of them. System Parameters Affected
None
Existing functionality affected
Reference Data:
A new system defined reference data value ‘Above Free Cover Limit’ is available under Reference Data 00816 ‘Reason for Loading’
Cession Benefit:
When the Reason for Loading on the cession benefit is selected as ‘Above Free Cover Limit’ and the type of loading is ‘Total Mortality/Morbidity Rating’ then when the Original Sum at
Risk > Free Cover Limit:
Extra Mortality Premium is calculated using the formula : MAX(MIN( (Sum Insured Free Cover Limit), (SoC Autocover Limit)),0) * Ceded Share% * premium rate* Extra Mortality %
When the Reason for Loading is NOT ‘Above Free Cover Limit’ then the extra mortality loading will be calculated on the basic reinsurance premium as per existing functionality
When the premium is defined as a fixed amount then the extra premium will not be calculated when the reason for loading is ‘Above Free Cover Limit’

SE-3720 - Cession Loader calculate the Our Share Amounts - Africa Re
Aim of function

System Parameters Affected
New system parameter under Cessions ‘Cession and Claim Amounts in Our Share’ is available

Existing functionality affected
Assumed Business Share Condition:
When the above system parameter is selected, a flag ‘Cession and Claim Amounts in Our Share’ will be available for selection on the Share condition of the assumed business

Inward Cession Benefit:
When the flag is selected on the Share condition of the business, then on the inward cession new business transaction, a flag ‘Sum At Risk Our Share’ is available and selected by default. When a value is entered in the field Total Reinsured Sum at Risk, the ceded share percentage as per the amendment to which the cession is linked is applied to this amount and defaulted as the Gross Sum Reinsured and Sum at Risk
When the Reinsurance Premium Method is Original Terms and the Rates Amount Option is As Original, then the entered ACIs will also be recalculated in the ceded percentage

Inward Claim
When the Claim Liability Amount is updated on the claim and changed from the defaulted value, then the Accounted Claim Liability will be recalculated in the Ceded Share percentage.
When there is no change to the Claim Liability Amount in the Paid status, the flag will not be editable and there will be no recalculation of the Claim Liability figures

SE-2779 - Claim Recovery, Premium waiver cases processing - Heng An Standard Life
Aim of function
The aim of this enhancement is to be able to calculate the recovery of the waived premium and process these recoveries as either lumpsum recoveries or instalment recoveries on the outward claim based on one inward ceded paid claim transaction and ACI
System Parameters Affected
Under the system parameters Business- > Claim Liability Calculation Rule, a new set of Claim Variables is now available. These variables along with the existing cession variables may be used to define a claim liability calculation rule

Existing functionality affected
On the Cession Benefit transaction:
A new field ‘Policy Year’ is available. This will indicate the policy year of the cession benefit transaction and the remaining duration for the cession will be calculated based on the benefit term and the current policy year.

On the Ceded Paid Claim:
Two new system defined reference data values ‘Lumpsum Settlement’ and ‘Instalment Recovery’ are available for selection on the Ceded Paid claim
When the claim SoC has the Claim Liability Calculation rule defined to process the claim as a waiver of premium claim, then depending on the Claim Liability reason selected the outward claims that are created by the Retrocession Claim Processing Order will be calculated as
a) When Lumpsum Recovery is selected: The ceded percentage will be applied to the lumpsum ACI on the inwar ceded paid claim
b) When Instalment Recovery is selected: The claim recovery will be calculated based on the rule as below and create the all the instalments that need to be recovered as outward ceded paid claims
Recovery amount = Claim Liability Amount from claim variable * the value (If MLY=12, If QLY=4 etc) based on the renewal frequency variable on the cession* (PPT - Current Policy Year) from cession variable * ceded percentage

SE-2379 - Estimate Settlement Indicator Mass Update - Allianz AG
Aim of function
- Added an option for the Multi GAAP Accounting and Retrocession Orders to split Liquid and Non-Liquid details into separate balances.
This is controlled by a new Multi GAAP General system parameter.

When the new parameter is selected, Liquid and Non-Liquid details created by the Multi GAAP Orders will always be split into separate balances. The balances with Liquid details will then be set to Unsettled, and the balances with Non-Liquid details will be set to Settled.
- Changed the Estimate Settlement Indicator Mass Update, so that it can set estimate balances to Settled, even if estimation items in Period Estimates are not set to Complete.
A new option is added to the Estimate Settlement Indicator Mass Update Order.

When option “Validate Complete Flag” is selected, Insured Periods are only included if all Estimation items, with a liquid Accrual Entry Code defined in the Period Estimation rule, are set to Complete.
When the “Validate Complete Flag” option is cleared, there is no validation of the Complete Flag. All businesses matching the extract criteria will be included in the Mass Update.
