Overview
The Cede Interface allows SICS to be integrated in a Ceded Insurance application scenario, providing a connection between the source systems and SICS. It provides several business functions:
- New Policies registration and amendments
- Premium registration
- Claim and claim accounting registration
- Support of both Life and non-Life business. The Interface Entry Point is a RDBMS table that has to be filled by the source system(s) with all the data that are relevant for the SICS reinsurance processes. The Cede Interface Table and the Cede Interface processes are not meant to replicate the source system(s) data and structures; they are built to allow SICS to execute the reinsurance calculations. Once the source systems have fed the Cede Interface Table with policies and claims data, a SICS process named Cede Interface Order can be executed and create the related SICS objects:
- Light Policies (policies, sections, amendments)
- Light Claims
- Policy accounting details
- Claim accounting details
