8.2. Mass Update Responsible Person
If you want to change the responsible person for several businesses in one go, you may run the Mass Update Responsible Person. For example, if a new person should have the responsibility for the claims handling, which earlier another person had, you may mass update the relevant businesses with this replacement.
This function allows you to:
- Change the responsible person of assumed businesses.
- Add a responsible person to business with a particular main class of business.
- Add a responsible person to businesses with a particular cedent.
Replace Responsible Person #
Find businesses that currently have a selected responsibility with a selected person and assign another person to this responsibility. Remove the currently assigned person from this responsibility. It finds each insured period and business section that meet the criteria and updates only these.
- Select the Mass Update Functions icon
- Select the Responsible Person Mass Update icon.
- Select the Responsibility that you want this mass update to apply to.
- In the From Person, select the person that should be replaced.
- If wanting to limit the update further, you may select some crieria, for example, a Cedent and/or Main Class of Business.
- Select the person that now should be assigned this responsibility in To Person.
- Select the Run Mass Update button.
- Reply Yes to the question.
Add Responsible Person #
Add a new responsibility with a responsible person to businesses, without any regards to the currently assigned responsibilities. The businesses might also have no current responsibility assigned. In these cases you are required to select a Main Class of Business and/or a Cedent before running the mass update. It finds each insured period and business section that meat the criteria and updates only these.
- Select the Mass Update Functions icon
- Select the Responsible Person Mass Update icon.
- Select the Responsibility that you want this mass update to apply to.
- You must select the Cedent and/or Main Class of Business that this update should apply to.
- In the To Person, select the person that should be assigned to your selected responsibility.
- Select the Run Mass Update button.
- Reply Yes to the question.

| Main Class of Business | The current nature of coverage of the conract. This is the main class of business that the mass update will apply to. | Class of Business | The general insurance classification covered by your agreement. This is the class of business that the mass update will apply to. | Underwriting Year From | Businesses with an undewriting year equal to this underwriting year will be included in the mass update. | Base Companies | The company(ies) currently being the base company of the contract. This is the base company that the mass update will apply to.
