12.11. Find Lookup Tables

Click the Lookup Table icon in the Reference Items folder on the SICS desktop to see the Find: Lookup Table window. Here you can import tables, define tables and search on tables that already exist.

Main Search Criteria #
Table Type: Use the drop-down list to select the table type that defines where in SICS the table may be used and for what purpose. Select None to search for any table type.
Table Name: You can type the full name of the lookup table in the name field. If you cannot remember the name, you can use wild cards. * means “any sequence of characters”. For example, if you write premium, any tables that include the letters “premium” in their name will be found.
Currency: Use the drop-down list to select the currency assigned to the table(s) for which you are searching. The Currency field is available for selction in SICS Life and SICS Cede.
Amount Type: Use the drop-down list to select the amount type (referring to the financial measure) of the table(s) for which you are searching. The only Amount Types available in P&C are “Fixed Monetary Amount” or “Percent”
Created by User: Use the drop-down list to select the name of the person who created the table(s) for which you are searching.
Status: You can indicate the status of the table(s) you are searching for by selecting Active, Inactive or All. Active means that it may be attached to a business, Inactive means that it may already be attached but may not be attached to new business. All is the default, which gives you search results for both Active and Inactive.
Table Source: The table source of a lookup table is determined by the method in which the table was entered into SICS. You can indicate the source of the table(s) you are searching for by selecting Imported, User Defined or All. In P&C Imported is the only Table Source.
Lookup Tables Display List #
The lookup tables display list is on the bottom-half of the window, and shows you the results of your search. You see a list of table details including: Table Name, Status, Table Type, Table Source, Currency, Amount Type and User (who created the table).
