12.18. Create and Maintain Process IDs

SICS makes it possible to find, create and update Process ID in a Process ID Table. The Process ID is used to identify balances, and can be linked to both Technical and Claim Balances.

Find Process ID #

Click the Process ID icon to open the Find Process ID window.

The Find Process ID window has 2 sub tabs, and from the Properties tab, you can perform searches based on the following search criteria:

Type: Use the drop-down list to select the Process ID Type you want to search for. Select None to search for both CL and TA Process ID Types.

Identifier: You can type the full identifier or you can use wild cards search. * means “any sequence of characters”.

From the Status tab, you can perform searches based on the Process ID Status:

Status: Highlight the status you want to search for and use the arrow button to move it from the Available container to the Selected container. You can select one or more statuses. If no statuses are selected, the system searches for all statuses.

On the bottom-half of the window, all Process ID’s matching the search criteria is listed.

Field description 3. - Find process ID

Field Description
Type Process ID Type.

Default: None

Values: None, CL Process ID or TA Process ID
Identifier Process ID Identifier.

Default: None

Values: Free-text
Status Process ID Status.

Default: all

Values: Approved, Closed, Inactive, Open and Re-open

View and Edit Process ID Properties #

To view Process ID Properties from the Find Process ID window:

  1. Select the Process ID from the display list.
  2. Select Properties from the pop-up menu.

You see the properties window for the selected Process ID.

From the View Process ID window, you can select to change the Process ID Type or Status as follows:

  1. Select Change Type from the Menu.
  2. Select new Process ID Type and press OK.

Note! System only allows changing of Process ID Type, if the Process ID Status is Open or Re-open.

  1. Select Change Status from the Menu.
  2. Select new Process ID Status and press OK.

Note! System only allows Process ID Status Inactive if the Process ID is not linked to a worksheet, or if the linked worksheet has Status ‘Inactivated’.

Create New Process ID #

To create a new Process ID:

  1. Click the Create New button or select Add form the pop-up menu. This opens the Create Process ID window.

  1. Define Process ID Type, Status and Identifier and press OK.
