Pre-Installation comments

SICS Batch Server can run on 64-bit versions of Windows and Linux. The instructions are based on installation on machines running Microsoft Windows 64 bit. There is also a section on installing SICS Batch Server on Linux.

Main steps #

1. Install SICS software products
2. Set up database
3. Test database using GUI-based SICS
4. Configure SICS
5. Install a Java Servlet Container
6. Deploy SICS Batch Server to the Java Servlet Container
7. Configure the SICS batch Server environment
8. Verify correct startup of SICS Batch Server

Steps 1 to 4 are not described in this document and may vary if you are using P&C or Life.
