Inherit Conditions
Inherit Conditions on Business Sections #
A business can be divided into section s, cessions and declarations, and each of them can inherit business conditions and classifications
The condition information that is inherited is information entered or edited on the main section of the business. For example, if you create a section of a business that inherits Deduction conditions, when the Deduction conditions are updated on the main section where they were defined, inherited Deduction Conditions are automatically updated.
A condition that has been inherited is indicated with a blue square in the corner of the condition button (seen on each section). Refer to Show Condition Inheritance under Section Business in the Business Life Span chapter for more information on inheritance of conditions on section s.
Override Inherited Conditions #
Inherited conditions can be overridden in some cases. When you override a condition, you make a local copy of the condition where you can make your changes.
|

Override Inherited Condition button | To override a condition, click the Override Inherited Condition button on the Navigation bar. You see a message telling you that the condition is inherited, and asking you if you really want to override it and make a local copy. After clicking Yes to proceed, you can enter your changes |
Inherit Conditions from Amendments #
If your business has a Child Section with special conditions (no inheritance) and you want to make an amendment from Main Section, SICS gives you two options:
- To amend inherited Child Section only.
- To apply amendment to all Child Sections.
Existing special conditions on the Child Section will be overridden, and an inheritance will be restored from the amendments From Date.
When amending an inherited business condition on a Child Section, the inheritance will apply for the period up to the amendment’s From Date, and special conditions will apply for the amended period.
Cancel child section as art of amendment #
On Assumed Business when you create amendment as part of the child section. From Structure tab when you choose to cancel amendment on child section the system deletes it from the front end.
This option will NOT delete the sub sections from the database and it will visible in BO.
To have them totally deleted from the database you must select the option Delete.
Delete child section #
On Assumed Business with child section, either as part of amendment or not, user can choose to delete this from the Structure tab by selecting the option Delete. By doing this the Child section is physically deleted from the database.
