Edit Claim Program Information

A Claim Program contains information about the classifications, the period, and it may contain information about premium and/or exclusions. All claims and treaties linked to the Claim Program will adhere to the same classifications and will be within the Claim Program Period. The Claim Program must contain a link to at least one treaty, and it may contain links to claims. In the following we will describe how to view and maintain the information apart from claims and treaties.

Edit Claim Program Period and/or Classifications #

The Claim Program Period and/or Classifications can be edited as long as no claims are linked. When claims are linked only the Claim Program Name, the Is Active check box and the responsible CP Claims Handler information can be edited.

  1. Open the Claim Program.
  2. On Claim Program Properties window click the Edit button.
  3. Make the necessary changes and click OK.

Edit Claim Program Name and/or Responsible CP Handler #

The Claim Program Name and Responsible CP Handler can be edited at all times.

Edit FGU Indicator #

If you have been granted the access right, you can edit the FGU Indicator on a claim program.

  1. Open the General Properties of the Claim Program Period for which you want to change the indicator.
  2. Select Edit FGU indicator option from the menu in the Period part.
  3. Change the indicator to required value.

Edit GNPI/Exclusion Information #

A Claim Program can consist of more than one treaty, or sections of treaties. Likewise, certain parts of the premium or treaties can be excluded from the Claims Program.

In order to get an overall view of the linked Claim and Premium figures and what they reflect, the system gives you the possibility to record GNPI and Exclusion information on the Claim Program. This information is maintained on the GNPI/Exclusion window of the Claim Program.

To record/edit GNPI/Exclusion information for the Claim Program:

  1. Open the Claim Program where you want to record or edit the GNPI/Exclusion information and click the GNPI/Exclusion tab.
  2. Click the Edit button. You see the Edit GNPI/Exclusion window.

  1. Enter the required information.
  2. Click OK.

The GNPI/Exclusion information is also available in the Create Claim Program wizard.

Field Description Location
Identifier The unique identifier generated by the system to denote the Claim Program.

Value: Output field only.

Name The name given to a Claim Program.

Value: Free-text entry- maximum 100 characters.

Is Active An indicator implying whether the Claim Program is active or not.

Value: Selected or cleared

Default: Selected

Validations: When inactivating.

Period From The inception date of the Claim Program.

Value: Any date within the selected Insured Period - DD/MM/YYYY

Mandatory: Yes

Validations: Against Reinsurance Program and linked treaty period.

Value: Any date within the selected Insured Period - DD/MM/YYYY

Claim Program Year The year the Claim Program is valid.

Value: Output field only.

FGU Indicator that claims linked to the Claim Program should be accounted for using FGU.

Main Class of Business The Main Class of Business covered by the Claim Program

Value: Any of the Main Classes of Business defined on the selected Business Scope of Cover.

Mandatory: Yes

Functional impact: Yes. All claims linked to this Claim Program must have this Main class of Business.

Class of Business The Class of Business covered by the Claim Program

Value: Any of the Classes of Business defined on the selected Business Scope of Cover and that are valid for the selected Main Class of Business.

Mandatory: Yes

Functional impact: Yes. All claims linked to this Claim Program must have this Class of Business.

Sub Class of Business The Sub Class of Business covered by the Claim Program

Value: Any of the Sub Classes of Business defined on the selected Business Scope of Cover and that are valid for the selected Main and Class of Business.

Additional Classification A further description of the Claim Program’s coverage available if activated by your System Administrator.

Value: Any of the Additional Classification items defined on the selected Business Scope of Cover and that are valid for the selected Main and Class of Business, Sub Class of Business, or does not have any parent dependencies defined.

Default: The Sub Class of Business on the chosen Business Scope of Cover if only one defined.

Country/Country Group The geographical area for which the Claim Program is valid.

Value: A country group (or a member of this country group) or a country defined on the selected Business Scope of Cover.

Mandatory: Yes

Functional impact: All claims linked to this Claim Program must have this location (or a member of this location).

Cession Basis The method used when the business is accounted for.

Value: The Cession Basis defined on the selected Business Scope of Cover’s Administration Condition.

Mandatory: No

Functional impact: All treaties linked to this Claim Program must have the same Cession Basis defined.

Responsible CP Claims Handler Name of the user that is responsible for the claims administration for this particular Claim Program.

Value: Users with this user role.
