Work with Individual Claims when Claim Program is in Use

General #

When the Claim Program functionality is in use, you will see the following changes in SICS on desktop, the Business Claim List, the various claim wizards and individual treaty claims:

  • The SICS desktop has a new Claim Program folder.
  • The Business Claim List is enhanced with a Claim Program tab.
  • The Claim wizards for Individual Assumed Treaty Claims (Create, Assign and Copy) have been enhanced with a Claim Program selection page.
  • The Claim Links tab for Individual Assumed Treaty Claims has been enhanced with a Claim Program tab.
  • Claim Booking information Transfer to Ledger check box is only editable on Claim Program level if the claim is linked to a Claim Program

If you only want to delete the link between the claim and the Claim Program, and the Move options are not allowed, you must access the Claim’s Links tab - Claim Program. This option is only enabled if the link between claims and Claim Programs is not mandatory.

  1. Open the Claim Links - Claim program tab.
  2. Select the Claim Program.
  3. Select Delete from the pop-up menu.
  4. Confirm deletion.

The Claim Program is removed from all sections of the claim.

If your System Administrator has made the link between Individual Treaty claims and Claim Program mandatory, the “Delete” option is not enabled. To remove the link between the Claim and the Claim Program you must use the Replace Claim Program option.

  1. Open the Claim Links - Claim program tab.
  2. Select the Claim Program.
  3. Select the Replace Claim Program Link from the pop-up menu.
  4. Select the new Claim Program, or Create New Claim Program.
  5. Click OK.

The Claim Program is replaced on all claim sections.

Define Protection Assignment in Claim Wizard #

If your System Administrator has specified that the Protection Assignment should be performed automatically by the system, the use of the Claim Program functionality default the Protection Assignment information specific to each of the linked sections in the Create Claim wizard. In the wizard itself, only one section can be seen.
