Insured Based Protection

The Insured Based Protection tab on the Accumulation Control for Insured window lets you monitor the business with limits, premiums and claims going into the Protection Program(s). See Handle Business Insurables and Protect Business Reinsurance for more information.

Details tab: The business details are listed as per Date of Calculation. The system extracts all business from this Insured with Insured Period starting on or before the Calculation Date. By default, only Definite businesses are extracted.

Claims tab: Details per Claim ID for each business are extracted. This is the basis for the generation of claims to preliminary bookings.

Totals tab: The business extracted on the Details tab is displayed as totals per Section Classification and Reporting Unit (as defined in System Parameters). This is the basis for the generation of preliminary premium bookings. You can also see the total per Section Classification or Reporting Unit.

Booking Generation tab: You can select Premium or Claims, or both, and the system displays the result of the calculation with amounts split by the OCC. The figures displayed are the difference between total premium/claims to be retroceded as per calculation date and the premium/claims previously booked on the OCCs. (The figures displayed are, in other words, the adjustment.)

In calculating adjustment of premium/claims, you can click the Generate Bookings button to access the Retrocession Per Insured Order. After running the order, the calculated figures are booked as Original (preliminary ledger) on the OCC.

Document Production tab: From here the document production is ordered.
