Produce Deviation Reports
The recovery calculation excludes claim details that fall outside the scope of cover of the Outward Cedent Contract (OCC) or XL CA of Outward (XLCA). To follow up these uncovered amounts you can produce a deviation report after you have run a recovery calculation order. It displays all claim details that remain uncovered with the reason for not being recovered.
The report is applicable for Recovery Calculation for Protection Program and Single OCCs.
To produce deviation report for protection program:
- Run the recovery order for protection program.
- After the system has processed the recovery calculation, you see the Protection Program List window.
- Select a Protection Program Section or an OCC and select Deviation Report from the pop-up menu.
To produce deviation report for single OCC or XLCA:
- Run the recovery order for single OCC.
- After the system has processed the recovery calculation, you see the Outward Cedent’s Contract List window.
- Select an OCC or an XLCA and select Deviation Report from the pop-up menu.
The deviation report may include details that are subject to corrections, e.g. a claim is assigned to wrong protection. In order to enable corrections before recoveries are booked, you have to run the order again before selecting close worksheet.
If the claim detail falls outside the protection; the following reasons can be given in the deviation report:
##Uncovered Reason:
Invalid Claim Basis: Claim falls outside the Insured Period of the protection.
Invalid Base Company: Base Company is not equal to / a subset of protected Base Company/ies.
Invalid Type of Business: Type of Business is not covered under OCC coverage.
Invalid Accounting Classification: Accounting Classification is not a sub-set of covered classification.
Invalid Claim Risk Event Indicator. Protection has Per Event Per Risk Indicator = Per Risk, and Claim is not Per Risk.
Invalid Entry Code: The entry code is not valid as basis for recovery calculation.
Missing Headline Loss: Claim must be linked to a Headline loss to be considered for recovery calculation (not applicable for Type of participation US Quota Share).
Missing Risk Name: Claim is Per Risk and is missing a Risk Name (not applicable for Type of participation US Quota Share).
Non-Compliant with Risk Warranty: Claim is linked to a Headline, but does not have a risk name; or is linked to a Headline and a Risk Name - but all details for the Headline have the same risk name.
Not Included in Recovery Calculation: The claim does not have the Include in Recovery Calculation flag set.
